Chikyuu – Before the Arjunian Invasion, Chikyuu-sei was a planet close to ruin. The Black Star Dragons had destroyed half of the world, and without dragonballs to set things right, the citizenry turned on each other. Nations dissolved. Poverty was widespread. And public distrust of everything 'meta-human', including bio-technology and magic, was universal. In particular, Chikyuu's temporary government attempted to pass The Meta-human Accountability Act, which would have criminalized all meta-human activity. Fortunately, the Arjunian Armada appeared; and were vanquished by the remaining Z fighters, thus the constant vilifying of meta-humans came to an abrupt end. One year later, the Following of the Divine and the Throne was made the official religion of Chikyuu.

After the First Arjunian War, Chikyuu became the epicenter of all things political, social, and spiritual. Capsule is its sole manufacturer of communication technology, as well as interstellar transportation technology. Most of the Chikyuu-jin workforce is located off planet, as members of the Capsule Educational Exchange Program. The program was designed by Trunks to allow Chikyuu-jin to keep up and compete economically with the rest of the universe. On the social and spiritual sides, Chikyuu is home to all nine temples of the Divine and the Throne—one temple for each of their offspring, their wives, and the main temple, the Dai Shen Kan, for both Son Gokou and Vegeta. The Dai Shen Kan contains the only copy, set in stone, of the Creation of the Divine and the Throne.

Chikyuu's new government body is the 15-member Chikyuu Council of Peace. They are elected by popular vote. The Council holds sessions for eight months out of the year, and each member depends greatly on popularity—and favor with the four Children—to retain office.

Geographically, Chikyuu is split into four continents, called quadrants. South and West are divvied up between Trunks and Bra respectively, while Goten and Gohan claim the North and East quadrants.

Madran – Chikyuu's first protectorate and “sister planet”. Madran built the first of what would be known as “Satellite Universities”, and subsidized the Capsule Satellite University for Medicine and Medical Advancement (Med Advancement or MedCenter for short). While their claim to fame is health and wellness, Madrani are also very adept with communication tech and general manufacturing. Many other planetary systems without the proper space for industry place factories on Madran. This has led to a few environmental problems, as well as underground trading and black market practices. Madrani are one of the few races who are known to be able to procreate with Chikyuu-jin, and the number of those who claim to be Chikyuu-Madrani is steadily increasing. Madran has no standing army. Madrani by and large are devout Followers of the Divine and the Throne.

Arbatsu – Originally a mining planet, Arbatsu is a densely populated planetoid and Chikyuu's second protectorate. During the First Arjunian War, Arbatsu's authoritarian government was one of two—Serulia being the other—who suggested Chikyuu's forfeiture of sovereignty. After the conflict, they were among the first to express skepticism at the war's outcome and consequently, the Following itself. It has been rumored that Chikyuu (with the aid of bribes from Capsule) took Arbatsu as part of its budding empire for control of its ore deposits and refineries. After the takeover, Arbatsu-jin opposition to Chikyuu all but vanished.

Before becoming a protectorate, Arbatsu suffered from severe civil unrest due to its strict regime and class system. The weather on Arbatsu is notoriously harsh, and most food products are imported. Food shortages are still common. The Following of the Divine and the Throne is the prevalent religion, and the only state-approved spiritual observance. Citizens found publicly worshipping or acknowledging any other deity are typically imprisoned.

Serulia – Referred to as the “Pleasure Planet”, Serulia is a popular tourist destination for many intergalactic travelers. Serulia is also famous for its Serulian Ale, and many wine connoisseurs consider it a rare delicacy. The planet is mostly comprised of oceans and island territories. The largest is Serulia City, which is the world capital. Serulia is a parliamentary government, with a democratic voting system. It is one of the few planets with this legislative structure.

The current mission of Serulian leaders is to strengthen the planet's economy by steering it away from tourism, and more towards foreign trade. Specifically, they seek to oust Chikyuu as number one in the travel tech market. But with their limited land area, they are forced to place the bulk of their factories on Madran—and must pay property tariffs to Chikyuu because of this. They also pay additional taxes on their imports and exports due to the recently-passed trade embargo on nations under the umbrella of Chikyuu jurisdiction.

During the First Arjunian War, Serulia was the most outspoken concerning Chikyuu's chances of success and advised its leaders to forfeit their sovereignty to the Serulian government in exchange for protection and diplomatic intervention. After the Z Fighters' victory, Serulia offered to act as a goodwill ambassador to Arjun. Chikyuu occupied Arjun-sei and refused Serulia's request. While most of Serulia's leadership claim the Following as their religion, this is seen by most to be a purely political move to assuage the intergalactic media, who consistently reports on Serulia's antagonistic view of the The Divine, The Throne (Trunks in particular), and the Chikyuu Council.

Serulia's affluent populace views Chikyuu with both resentment and envy. Many of their merchant class do not participate in the Educational Exchange program out of spite. The majority of Serulian academics criticize Trunks for monopolizing current technologies. Despite all of this, general approval ratings of Chikyuu and the Following are high.

Rikau – The banking powerhouse of the known galaxy, Rikau's inhabitants elect to stay neutral in many modern-day conflicts. This status dates back before the reign of Frieza. It is interesting to note the Tsuri-jin Empire was one of their most notable accounts.

A most prevalent rumor regards archaeological findings that suggest the Rikau-seijin are not the indigenous people of the planet. Scientists point out the radical differences in physical appearance to those depicted by cave drawings done by ancient Rikau nomads. Rikau's republic claims that those nomads evolved into today's Rikau-seijin. But the anthropological discrepancies have been enough to launch many studies into Rikau's history. Some claim that Rikau's current inhabitants were the very first customers of King Cold in his days as a planetary broker. The only place that contained records of Cold's dealings with Rikau was the Great Library on Tsiru: The Great Library, among other places, was destroyed by a vengeful Vegeta after Frieza's death.

Rikau-sejin are known for their extraordinary mathematical prowess, making them sought after for their bookkeeping skills. They are also famous for their extreme discretion—to the point that the financiers swear an oath of silence upon adulthood and do not speak for the rest of their lives. Their conservative lifestyle is at odds with their traditions of ornate face-piercing. Rikau-seijin are genderless and reproduce asexually.

Rikau has a small militia, but relies on diplomatic ties with other planets for military support. Because of their secretive and closed society, travel to the planet is highly limited. Their social stances on many things, including the Arjunians and the Following, are largely unknown.

Farole – Farole, known by many as “The Pirate's Paradise”, was known for its large penitentiaries. Farole made its riches off of governments who moved their most dangerous criminals to their maximum security prisons. Turles, Radditz, and Bojack and his gang are just a few purported to have served sentences on Farole.

Today, the majority of Farolian prisons are closed, with most of the incarcerated sent off to neighboring colonial facilities. The few “rehabilitated” former prisoners have set up shop as merchants and “threat consultants”--glorified bodyguards-for-hire. A strong black market sustained by backroom dealings with larger planets (like Serulia, Shikaji, and even Madran) have kept the liberal autocratic government free from an upbraiding by the Chikyuu Council, at least for the moment.

Because of their political and legal ambiguity, Farole is the only planet with free press. However, their reporting is often disparaged by the larger state presses of Chikyuu, Madran, and Arbatsu. Many Chikyuu intelligence consorts speculate that Farole harbors Arjunian sympathizers.

Shikaji – Home to many off-planet employees of Capsule, Shikaji was once at the forefront of technological advancement particularly in domestic appliances. Now it is seen as an artistic haven for many who cannot abide by the restrictive societies of planets like Arbatsu. Shikaji street culture is rich with music, dance, and other performing arts. The central governing body of Shikaji enjoys good relations with most of the galaxy, despite a long-standing animosity with Madran. Native Shikaji only account for 15% of the population, making it the most ethnically diverse planet in the galaxy. Their chief exports are vibranium ore and plant algae (an ingredient used commonly in food products packaged for space travel.)

Yardrat – The planet of Son Gokou's old masters, Yardrat-sei is felt by many to be a holy planet due to its history with the Divine. Many Followers who can afford the great expense make religious journeys to Yardrat, where they spend their time deep in meditative prayer. Shunkan idou, otherwise known as Instantaneous Movement, is exclusively taught in private schools that only native Yardrat-seijin can attend. The high priests of the planet keep the technique a most guarded secret. Followers consider the desire to learn shunkan idou an act of heresy.

Yardrat was the only planet to actively aid Chikyuu against the Arjunians, sending a few dozen of their strongest soldiers to help the four Children to teleport directly in the midst of the armada. This counter-offensive strike was the decisive victory of the War. Since then, the Yardrat Elders and high priests have shied away from public life.

Namek – Namekians were utterly reclusive from the rest of galactic society. Space drones and satellites had pinpointed a planet that resembled Namek per various reports, but a few years after the Arjunian Invasion, the planet simply vanished. This, and the fact that many people have never seen a native Namekian, lead to the commonly held belief that Namek itself is a myth.

Arjun – Arjun is a mountainous planet that was home to a race of space-faring marauders. In the year 790 A.D., the Arjunian Armada left from the planet and headed to Chikyuu, first destroying many cities in the Eastern Quadrant and attempting to raze West Capital in an attack from orbit. The latter attack was averted with intervention from the Z Fighters. Arjun forces gave Chikyuu the ultimatum of surrender of their resources and populace, to which Chikyuu's government almost capitulated. After their sound defeat, the same battle in which Yardrat came to Chikyuu's aid and Pan became famous as The Sentinel, the remnants of the Armada retreated to the Outer. Many intelligence reports say they are rebuilding.

Arjun-seijin are known to be evolved from a nocturnal race, with large eyes and dark grey skin. Despite them being space faring for thousands of years, there are only a few eyewitness accounts of their activities outside of Arjun. Much of their society is shrouded in mystery.

Colonies – Very small, independent city-states who have petitioned to be recognized as their own sovereign entities. There are eight confirmed colonies recognized by the Chikyuu Council, and more than 20 unrecognized. Most of these are former satellites of Madran and strategic bases of Arbatsu that became disenchanted with their home planets' laws and regulations. The most recent addition to the Colonies is Raja, one of Arjun's moons and Chikyuu's military base. It is now known as Colony Eight.
